F. candida grazes on the mycelium growing on the yeast food
and thereby creates a
mycelium-free spot as shown on the picture. F. candida may
also reside inside at the base
of the bulb of dense mycelium by removing the mycelium. On the image
you can see the
remains of the yeast as the brown particles it probably also include
excrements.
